Use of Web Storage (LocalStorage / SessionStorage)

To ensure the functionality of our online game and to provide a seamless user experience, we utilize "Web Storage" technology (also known as "Local Storage" or "Session Storage").
Purpose of Processing: We store information such as your current high score or game progress locally in your browser's memory. This allows your progress to be saved even after closing or refreshing the page, enabling you to resume your game later.

Legal Basis: This data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest is to provide a technically functional and user-friendly gaming experience. In accordance with Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications-Digital-Services-Data Protection Act) and the ePrivacy Directive, explicit consent is not required as this storage is strictly necessary to provide the service (the game) explicitly requested by the user.

Storage Duration: Data in Local Storage remains on your device until you clear your browser cache or the data is overwritten by game functions (e.g., a "Reset" button). Session Storage data is automatically deleted when you close the browser tab.

Right to Object: You can prevent or restrict the use of Web Storage at any time via your browser settings. Please note, however, that if you disable this technology, you may not be able to use the game to its full extent (e.g., your high scores will not be saved).
